The Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to partly merge 5,900 primary and upper primary schools with high schools in the state, has anxious moments among students and parents. Responding to this Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna said the YCP government is playing with the lives of students.’
Balakrishna distributed 30 LED televisions to a government school in Kotnur village that falls under his Assembly constituency. Speaking on the occasion Balakrishna said,
“The state government decision to merge schools is a bad idea. Students are facing many difficulties because there is no proper transportation. The roads in AP are in horrible condition and the state government is not repairing them. The state government is doing ‘Badude -Badudu.’ We are going to do the same with the YCP.”
Advising the students, Balakrishna asked them to stay away from social media. “Children have many options for entertainment. But they should be away from social media. They should do anything that gives them knowledge. Hindupur has a history of producing IAS and IPS officers. I wish to see many more in the future,” said Balakrishna.
The LED TVs were sponsored by the Heritage group and Balakrishna also sanctioned Rs 4 Lakh on behalf of his organisation for the school.
