Cuttputlli Trailer: AK Plays Safe With South Remake

The 2019 Telugu film ‘Rakshasudu’ starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas was a critically acclaimed movie. Though it was a remake of Tamil movie ‘Ratsasan,’ the Telugu version worked well at the box office.

Bollywood hero Akshay Kumar is remaking this crime thriller in Hindi with the title ‘Cuttputlli.’ Initially the film was titled ‘Mission Cindrella’ but they changed it for reasons best known to them.

Set in Kasuali, school going girls get brutally murdered and their dead bodies are disposed in public places. The police swing into action but they are unable to trace the culprit. Akshay and his team try everything and fail. Finally Akshay starts playing mind games with the serial killer and catches hold of him.

The two minutes trailer is very engaging (we can blame the original) and doesn’t deviate from the subject. Rakul Preet Singh is pairing with Akshay in the film.

Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, ‘Cuttputlli’ is getting an OTT release on Disney+HotStar from September 2nd.

Akshay Kumar’s recent films bombed big time at the box office and so the makers of this film decided to release on OTT.
