Megastar Chiranjeevi graced the pre-release event of First Day First Show as a chief guest and the event was also attended by the entire team and few other guests. Chiranjeevi besides sharing his attachment with Edida Nageswara Rao’s family, has also made some inspiring statements for the upcoming actors and filmmakers.
Chiranjeevi said, “The main reason for me to attend the event is Edida Nageswara Rao garu. They treat actors like their family members. I hope, the team will have his blessings. I did two movies under Poornodaya banner, other than a cameo in Tayaramma Bangarayya. While Swayamkrushi was a blockbuster, I got good name for Apadbandhavudu. I feel proud to work under the banner.
We attend few events as an obligation, but I go to few events with my personal interest. I’m happy to be here. The film industry is great. I realized the greatness of the industry, when I went to other industry. One needs to have the passion to prosper in the industry. I thoroughly enjoyed Anudeep’s Jathi Ratnalu.
A film should have a heart touching emotions or it should be highly entertaining like Jathi Ratnalu. I loved Radhan’s music for Arjun Reddy and then I liked Chitti song in Jathi Ratnalu. My wife Surekha’s pet name is also Chitti. I used to tease her by singing Chitti song. We knew Srija, since she was a kid. We need to encourage and welcome women in the industry.”
Chiranjeevi also spoke about the uncertainty over theatrical business in recent times. “The film industry always has close to 10% success rate every year. We have seen some superhits like Bimbisara, Sita Ramam and Kartikeya 2. Audience will definitely come to cinemas if the content is good. If not, they will not come on second day itself.”
Megastar shared his FDFS experience. “I was 6th standard. My relative in Nellore took me and Nagababu for FDFS of NTR’s Ramu under AVM banner. When we were entering the hall, my father was coming out, after watching the previous show. He had beaten us badly that day.”
Chiranjeevi concluded his speech wishing producer Srija all the best for FDFS.
