‘If all world is behind Korean films, Koreans are behind ‘RRR’

S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has become an international hot cake film since its release on Netflix. Although it has been five months since its theatrical release, the film still keeps trending because of the international acclaim and following it garnered through its streaming release. Even Hollywood has gone bonkers about this movie, receiving appreciation from the mightiest filmmakers too.

Now, this isn’t just it. If everything goes well, ‘RRR’ might get a remake. This was revealed by the producer Sunitha Tati of ‘Guru Film.’ She has joined hands with ‘Suresh Productions’ and produced the film ‘Sakhini – Dakhini’, starring Nivetha Thomas & Regina Cassandra. It is directed by Sudheer Varma. The film is slated to release on September 16. This is an official remake of the Korean comedy – action film ‘Midnight Runners’.

During the promotion of the film, Sunitha said, “If all the world is behind Korean films, Koreans are behind ‘RRR’. There was a huge offer from Korean makers for remake rights. When said the same to Rajamouli, he has an interesting reaction which I suspense as of now”.
