One of the most discussed topics other day in Film Nagar is that of the suite room allocated to popular heroine Sreeleeela, who is yet to score her maiden blockbuster in Telugu, but had almost 3-4 films in hand and charging more than ₹1 crore as her remuneration. Here comes an interesting piece of news.
According to the grapevine, Sreeleela and her mother are said to be staying at a suite room in Hyderabad’s popular 7-star hotel for the next 30 days, out of which, she will attend the shooting of Vaishnav Tej’s movie for 21 days nearly. The room costs nearly ₹22K with all taxes included and accounts for almost ₹6+ lacs for the stay. If she has to come down for another schedule as well, then this spending might see an additional ₹3-4 lacs added to it. So, what’s the issue?
With this movie being produced by Trivikram’s wife Sai Soujanya in association with Sithara Entertainments, and with them being active members of ‘Active Producers Guild’, one wonders if the new rules are being applied to this heroine or not. In fact, the new rules laid by the Guild say that a heroine will be paid the total package and all of her travels, as well as accommodation costs, need to be borne by her only.
But those who in the know say that when ₹3-4 crores are being paid to Vaishnav Tej as a remuneration though he had no solid hit other than debut Uppena, what’s the point in discussing the ₹10 lakhs accommodation bill of the heroine.
