High Alert For Young Heroes!

Young heroes who have tasted sensational successes are going the wrong route. From Nani to Ram Pothineni to Vijay Deverakonda to Nithiin to Naga Shaurya to Sree Vishnu to Kiran Abbavaram, young heroes have disappointed audiences with the choice of their scripts and it eventually showed in the results of their films’ performance at the box office.

Vijay Deverakonda scored back-to-back failures and the latest Liger being the weakest script of all. Given the hype and buzz the film garnered in Hindi and Telugu, even the average script would have made the film a big success commercially. However, Vijay and Puri have failed to cash in on the craze.

Nithiin’s Macherla Niyojakavargam disappointed badly and the audiences have outrightly rejected the dated story and badly written script. Despite choosing moderately decent scripts, Nani is also stuck in a zone where he couldn’t deliver. Be it V or Tuck Jagadish or the latest Ante Sundaraniki, Nani settled with the below average ventures. Ante had its share of moments, but the length has spoiled the sport.

Ram Pothineni made a stunning comeback with iSmart Shankar. But the talented Ram is also stuck in mass image. His last two films Red and Warriorr have failed to meet the expectations. He is teaming up with Boyapati and Gautham Menon for his next two films. Ram has to deliver with these two films to be back in the game.

Naga Shaurya has good looks and talent to perform. But of late, he is choosing scripts which couldn’t deliver. While Varudu Kavalenu was just an average affair, none of the other films didn’t work. His latest Krishna Vrinda Vihari opened to mixed reviews and we have to wait and see how the film would fare at the ticket windows.

Kiran Abbavaram looked promising with his debut Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru. However, he couldn’t sustain the momentum. He fallen for the mass hero tag and left the scripts to the last. He was also on a signing spree where he signed films hastily. We have to wait and watch what results his upcoming films would give.

It is indeed high alert for the young heroes to focus on the scripts rather than on combinations and remunerations. In the past young heroes like Tarun, Uday Kiran, Varun Sandesh, Raj Tarun had also tasted huge successes but subsequently hit the bottom in their careers.
