Well known Telugu film distributor G Kamalak Reddy, of KFC Entertainments, has been killed in a road accident today. The road mishap took place in the wee hours when the ambulance in which he was traveling along with his father who tested Covid positive, hit the stopped lorry from the behind.
This took place at around 3 AM at Kondrapole village of Damarcharla mandal in Nalgonda district. Both Kamalakar Reddy (48) and his aged father Nandagopal Reddy have died on the spot due to the impact of the collision. Ambulance driver has met with severe injuries and he has been admitted to Miryalaguda government hospital.
Kamalakar Reddy’s family has been informed about the tragedy. The family is in deep shock as the incident took place when Kamalakar Reddy was shifting his father Nandagopal Reddy, Covid patient, from Nellore to Hyderabad for better medical treatment. Miryalaguda police have booked the case under rash and negligent driving. Cops are investigating the incident. The bodies of Kamalakar Reddy and Nandagopal Reddy have been shifted to Miryalaguda hospital for post-mortem.
G Kamalakar Reddy, known as GK is managing partner of KFC Entertainments, and distributed films like Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya and Arjun Reddy. His sudden demise has left several producers in shock in the industry.
