Oscar award-winning music composer AR Rahman has made interesting comments about sensational filmmaker SS Rajamouli and his work. As Rajamouli is campaigning for his 2022 film RRR’s run for Oscars 2023 presently, Rahman’s comments gained a lot of significance. RRR cast are travelling worldwide to promote it for the prestigious award. Here are Rahman’s comments.
Rahman said he always knew of SS Rajamouli’s calibre and said he knew he would make it big. Rahman said he realised the potential of Jakkanna after watching Magadheera. After watching Magadheera, Rahman admitted that he understood that Rajamouli could do it bigger and he proved it with Baahubali.
‘When I saw Magadheera, I knew what this man (Rajamouli) can do, and when Baahubali came out, I was like jaw dropped. It glorified Telugu cinema beautifully,’ Rahman said.
Rahman also lauded Mani Ratnam, his longtime friend who scored the blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan 1. The film crossed Rs 475 Crore-mark at the Box Office and swept the Kollywood records by becoming highest-grosser.
