One thing is clear, Superstar Prabhas is not picking star directors after Baahubali, as he has worked (and will be working) with the likes of Sujith, Radhakrishna, Nag Ashwin and Om Raut who are just a couple of films old. That brings us to the discussion if Prabhas is ignoring star directors intentionally.
Many star directors are continuously pitching their stories to Prabhas from a long time. Most recently we have the likes of Surender Reddy narrating an action packed drama to Prabhas but the actor rejected it. Before that, much before announcing Pushpa with Allu Arjun, even Sukumar narrated a story to Prabhas, but things didn’t work out. Then we have the rumour that Koratala Siva is teaming up with the hunk hero, but never that rumour turned into real news.
Similarly, the likes of Trivikram and also Harish Shankar are also said to have approached Prabhas with a story, but the superstar did not consider them seriously. Wonder why? Whatever may be the reason, ignoring star directors is the strategy of Prabhas for the now.
Definitely we could say that all these star directors are churning projects that have a weak storyline but the bank only on hero’s stardom. However, Prabhas is doing those films that have new concepts including that of ‘rebirths’ in Radhesyam, time travel in Nag Ashwin movie and epic fantasy in Om Raut’s project.
