Back in the 90s, though the number of happening heroes would be a dozen, the number of leading ladies available is quite a few. So almost all the star heroes used to romance the same heroine in a particular season. During that time, if movies of star heroes has to clash, producers used to make sure that the heroine in both the films is not the same, else they will pick a week or more gap.
However, on one such occasion, in an epic clash between Megastar Chiru and Balayya, the heroine of the two movies happened to be the same. Both Megastar’s Mrugaraju and Balayya’s Narasimha Naidu had an epic Sankranthi clash in 2001, and both the films have the same heroine, Simran in the lead. While she appeared super spicier in Balayya’s movie, she’s a bit homely in Chiru’s movie. And her glamour also proved a major part in the success of Narasimha Naidu we have to say.
And now, we have Shruti Haasan being part of a similar clash, at a time when Chiru and Balayya are clashing like this after 20 years. She’s the leading lady of both Waltair Veerayya and Veerasimha Reddy. However, when Simran has done such a feat, she was the star and happening heroine, but right now Shruti Haasan has lost that craze and stardom, though she used to be a sought after heroine almost 6-8 years ago.
With double promotions and double appearances, surely her career might take a big turn here if one of these films or both turn out to be blockbusters.
