The Oscars season has begun with the announcement of the shortlists of the films that were considered in the corresponding category and surprisingly, our own ‘RRR’ has made it to the list with the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ as the considerable contender in the category of ‘Best Original Song’
The film has been well acclaimed and most hyped and also celebrated by the western audience right from its release. What started out to be a word of mouth has now turned into this huge fan base and also a phenomenon in Hollywood. The film was extremely supported and celebrated in theatres across the globe.
Let it be Japan, South America, or England, the audience is shaking its leg for ‘Naatu Naatu’, with its hook step, which is the first time too. Following this hype the team independently approached and submitted the film for the Oscars and to their gut, the film did get its place.
Ram Charan also took to his Instagram profile and shared that it was a historic moment for the Indian film industry.
The Oscar’s final shortlist shall be announced in the second week of January and the ceremony shall take place in the second week of March. Hopefully, ‘RRR’ shall bag one home!
