Avatar Franchise: What’s next!

With ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ hitting the screen recently, the interest of the public was piqued for the sequels. Interestingly a 2018 report resurfaced that actually revealed the title of Avatar 2 which turned out to be accurate. And according to that report, the titles of the sequels following in the franchise shall be ‘Avatar: The Seed Bearer’, ‘Avatar: The Tulkun Rider’ and ‘Avatar: The Quest for Eywa’.

As the titles suggest, the franchise shall follow the deep roots of Naʼvi, exploring the origins of the species, along with the nature on their planet, through Eywa. One has to give credit for Cameron’s intelligence even in framing the titles of the film. All of them are generating a curiosity & chain of thoughts on what might be the narrative of the film, thereby staying with the audience even before its release.

‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ was directed by James Cameron. He wrote the screenplay alongside Josh Friedman. Cameron produced the film alongside Jon Landau. The cast for the film includes Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement and Kate Winslet
