Tollywood’s Sankranthi festive season is about to begin in a few hours. This time, it will be the clash between Nandamuri Balakrishna and Megastar Chiranjeevi with their respective films Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya.
Veera Simha Reddy is set for a grand release tomorrow while Waltair Veerayya will hit the screens on January 13. The USA premieres of Veera Simha Reddy will be held tonight whereas Waltair Veerayya’s premieres will be held tomorrow.
According to the trade reports, Veera Simha Reddy collected $505,330 from 287 locations as of now. On the flip side, Waltair Veerayya earned $398,160 from 274 locations.
Veera Simha Reddy has already crossed the half-million mark with its advance bookings. It also became the highest USA premiere grosser in Balakrishna’s career. This film is followed by his other movies NTR: Kathanayakudu ($473k), Gouthamiputra Shatakarni ($375k), Akhanda ($331k) and Paisa Vasool ($137k).
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, Veera Simha Reddy features Shruti Haasan as the female lead. Mythri Movie Makers bankrolled the project.
