What’s The Story Of Vedantam Raghavayya?

Other day it was announced that director Harish Shankar is providing the story for hero Sunil’s next film, which is titled “Vedantam Raghavayya”.

While 14 Reels is producing the movie, they are yet to announce the name of the director who will be helming the movie. And here comes some first ramblings about the title.

For the unknown, Vedantam Raghavayya sounds like another title in the lines of Duvvada Jagannadham as Harish Shankar has earlier come up with such name. But then, those who know the history of Telugu films can’t forget the fact that Vedantam Raghavayya is the director of all-time classic film “Devadasu” that features NTR and Savitri in the lead. Also, Raghavayya is a choreographer and producer too, and his daughter Subha went on to become a busy actress in the Malayalam film industry.

Guess what, one wonders if Harish Shankar is making the biopic of Vedantam Raghavyya or just using that title to make comedy movie with Sunil. Definitely with Harish Shankar’s writing and Sunil’s presence and the poster’s design, it can be inferred that this film is no biopic. But then, what is it about? Only time will tell.
