This Sankranti festival, Tollywood witnessed the clash of titans Chiru and Balakrishna. It’s been a while since both the stars’ films clashed for a festival like Sankranti. Many thought this would create a lot of unrest in social platforms as fans of both the compounds may try to provoke one another and tarnish each other. However, quite surprisingly, there was no major fan war between Mega & Nandamuri compounds.
No doubt, debates, comments and counter-comments and exchange of words among opposite fans is common. All these are normal during big releases which only last for a couple of days. But the best part here is no major disturbing things took place.
Kudos to both the stars and their respective team by handling the whole issue well. The stars ensured that both their films have a one-day gap and each film has its own space and release. Unlike in Tamil where both Ajith’s Thunivu and Vijay’s Varisu clashed on same day at the BO unleashing a fan war online.
Even as some sections of the media have tried to make speculations of rift between Mega and Nandamuri fans and even aired stories around it, the fans of both these teams maintained resilience and patience by showing true maturity. This is the win of both the fans.
Finally, the major victory belongs to all movie lovers and fans of Telugu cinema. Distributors and exhibitors are also happy with the positive talk for both the big films.
Once again, the cinema lovers proved that ultimately cinema wins and not individuals with motives or political objectives. Fans and cinema won this Sankranti.
