Pathaan Beats KGF2 To Becoming Biggest Day 1 Film

Looks like finally, Bollywood got its breathing moment as a Hindi movie made it to the top yet again, though it is just the beginning. As expected, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan got the highest openings for the kind of craze it is enjoying everywhere. And it is so high that the film has now beaten even the record created by KGF 2.

So far, KGF 2 is the top highest nett collecting film on Day 1 of Bollywood as the movie minted ₹54+ crores with its Hindi version. Cut to now, SRK’s Pathaan has touched the same figure by collecting a crore more.

The movie collected ₹55+ crores nett from the India box office alone with its Hindi version. This is followed by War (₹51+ Cr) and Thugs Of Hindostan (₹50+ Cr). Despite being released on a non-holiday day, Pathaan flexed its muscles and trade pundits are expecting that the second day collection will beat the first-day collections as well, because of the public holiday (Jan 26).

At the same time, the south collection is not so great for Pathaan as the Telugu and Tamil versions contributed to just ₹2+ crores nett on Day 1. Definitely, this is the first blockbuster of 2023 for Bollywood as well as a big film in recent times for Hindi circles.
