Avatar Effect: Adipurush Is Not At All Worried

Ever since the India release date of Hollywood’s DC Comics film “The Flash” got announced, there is this widespread debate that star hero Prabhas has to face the headache. It is known that Prabhas’ latest film ‘Adipurush’ locked June 16th as the new release date, and this Hollywood film locked on the same date. Anyway, is that a reason to worry?

Frankly speaking, the makers of Prabhas’ Adipurush are not at all worried about this competition from DC’s The Flash. This is because of the result earlier proved by “Avatar 2” at the Indian box office. No matter how good Avatar’s collections are, the film that was released mid-December 2022, it hasn’t spoiled the box office chances of commercial Telugu movies like Dhamaka, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy. That proves the fact that Hollywood movies won’t affect Telugu movies or Hindi films in Indian territory no matter how good they are.

Perhaps that is the reason why Adipurush is not worried about The Flash also releasing on their date. But what matters for Prabhas film is that they have to promote it well and shouldn’t go for another postponement. As there is criticism about the quality of the visual effects of the film earlier, the Adipurush team needs to address only that expectation. Otherwise, Prabhas is much stronger than any Hollywood film at the Indian box office.
