It’s Hard To Pitted Against Rana: Venkatesh

Hero Venkatesh who is known for his versatility will be seen essaying the role of a Naga Naidu in his maiden web series Rana Naidu. He locks horns with his nephew Rana Daggubati as both of them take on the role of troubled father and son.

While interacting with the media, Venkatesh says it’s been an exciting journey for him so far. “Working on a series is very different from working on a film, and it took some time for me to get used to the pace and style of the storytelling,” says he.

Venkatesh has always been drawn to playing complex characters, and he will be seen in a role with negative shades in Rana Naidu. “It’s challenging to play a character that’s so different from who you are as a person, but it’s also incredibly rewarding,” shares he.

Off-screen Venkatesh and Rana have a great equation. He affirms it was definitely hard to be pitted against his nephew on-screen. “This was definitely a new endeavor for both of us but we worked together and took cues from each other to bring our characters to life,” adds he.

The Netflix original was directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma. The trailer of the series received an overwhelming response and augmented the buzz. The series will have its premiere on Netflix from March 10th.
