The very talented actor Nani is coming with his Dasara on March 30. In a look and feel that is rustic and raw, Nani is expected to surprise and enthrall us all at the same time. Meanwhile, the actor seems to be keen on putting some notions and inferences at bay. One of them is the tag ‘the boy next door’.
There were many prefixes or inferences added to our Telugu actors while introducing something related to them like, ‘Chocolate boy’, ‘lover boy’ et all. Nani too has one such tag called, ‘the boy next door’. In a recent interview with Gulte.com, Nani was asked if he was expecting a different reaction from the people who know and like him as a ‘boy next door’, after seeing Dasara.
Nani was quick to clarify that he is beyond that image and has proved it with many movies of different genres of late. Nani says, ‘My Pilla Zamindar, Shyam Singha Roy and in a way, Jersey does not have the boy next door from me. I am not always that, and that introduction from media and the people who admire me remained the same, but I have done many films that broke the reaction based on my ‘boy next door’ image. So there is nothing to be afraid of the reaction to the genre or look of Nani in Dasara.’
Nani also rules out choosing a movie based on its genre, but instead, he said he will go ahead with the script he liked and the genre was never a deciding factor. Nani says he will let the people who love him call him the way they want to because it is all the love from them.
