Ponnambalam, a renowned actor in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi films, who is famous for his portrayal of villainous roles, has been suffering from kidney disease for over a year. In his time of need, he appealed to his industry friends and colleagues to help him with the financial expenses of his medical treatment. In a recent viral video, we can see him thanking Megastar Chiranjeevi for his great gesture.
In a heartwarming response, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Dhanush came forward to support him financially. As soon as Ponnambalam sent a message to Chiranjeevi, he immediately supported him. According to the actor, Chiranjeevi offered a helo of almost Rs. 45 lakh rupees and took care of his treatment expenses.
Similarly, he mentioned that Dhanush helped him financially too.
Ponnambalam’s niece, Jaganathan, volunteered to donate her kidney to her uncle. The surgery was performed successfully on February 10 at a private hospital in Chennai, and Ponnambalam is now recovering well.
Ponnambalam has acted alongside prominent actors such as Vijayakanth, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Arjun Sarja, and Sarathkumar, among others.
