Previously we have seen Mass Raja Raviteja’s routine masala films like Dhamaka collecting big at the box office, while Waltair Veerayya’s success also falls a bit in his lap. But then, his mass films like Khiladi have bitten the dust big time and many thought that even Ravanasura is going in the same direction. It still is going, but the producers refuse to accept it.
Apparently, Ravanasura’s first weekend collections from Telugu states alone are said to be nearly ₹9 crores ’share’ and that is making the makers a bit happy. For the kind of flop talk that engulfed this film, they thought that the movie is going to bite the dust in a big manner, but then, it has done a fairly decent job. In its full run, Raviteja’s previous flop Khiladi collected only ₹11+ crores share in its full run, and that was a misery and a record-flop for the star hero. But now, Ravanasura is likely to collect lesser than Khiladi, by creating a record of sorts for sure.
If the footfalls for the film are too weak on Saturday and Sunday itself, then the film is likely to see empty seats from Monday on the single screens. While Dhamaka has collected more than ₹35+ crores share from the worldwide box office in its full run, there is no way Ravanasura could be such justice, while fans are hoping that the film won’t beat Khiladi records.
