Noted Director Takes Seven Years For Third Film

Virinchi Varma made his directorial debut with the 2013 romantic drama Uyyala Jampala. It was a decent hit at the box office. Later, he came up with Majnu in 2016. Starring Nani in the lead role, this movie remained as an average grosser. After that, Virinchi didn’t make a movie.

If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, he is now aiming to make a comeback after a gap of seven years. According to the reports, Virinchi is in talks with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram for a new film. Apparently, Virinchi prepared a period drama script for Kalyan Ram, and it seems that the latter liked it as well. An official announcement is expected to be made once everything gets finalized.

Of late, Kalyan Ram has been choosing different kinds of scripts. He scored a big hit with Bimbisara last year. He acted in a triple role in this year’s release Amigos. Currently, he is doing the period drama Devil under the direction of Naveen Medaram.

If he signs Virinchi’s project, it will be another off-beat film from Kalyan Ram.
