Renowned Tamil director Vetri Maaran is known for his films like Aadukalam, Visaranai, Vada Chennai and Asuran. He is now back with his new film Viduthalai Part 1. Starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles, this gritty-police drama was released a couple of weeks ago in Tamil.
Upon its release, Viduthalai got unanimous positive talk and generated good money at the box office. The makers have then dubbed the film in Telugu with the title Vidudhala Part 1. The Telugu version was released on April 15.
According to trade reports, Vidudhala collected a gross of Rs. 1.5 crores on the first day of its release. Though it didn’t have a big hero, the film managed to generate decent collections at the box office. We have to see how it fares today.
Vidudhala features Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Ilavarasu and Balaji Sakthivel in key roles. Ilaiyaraja composed the music for it. Elred Kumar produced the project.
