Will Virupaksha Do The Same Magic In Hindi?

Sai Dharam Tej’s horror thriller Virupaksha turned out to be a sleeper hit. The film touched the break-even mark within 4 days as it earned 24 crore share. In five days, Virupaksha raked in 28 crore world-wide share bringing profits in all areas. The film became Sai Dharam Tej’s career-highest grosser. Though Ponniyin Selvan 2 and Akhil’s Agent are releasing this week, Virupaksha belongs to different genre and hence the makers need not bother about the film’s run in the next few days.

Now, the makers are setting their focus on Virupaksha’s Hindi dub release. As per sources, Virupaksha Hindi is going to release on 5th May. Initially, Virupaksha Hindi was planned for simultaneous release on 21st April. But considering Salman’s Eid release, the makers had put their Hindi release plans on hold. Now that the film became a blockbuster in Telugu garnering unanimous positive reviews, they have revived the plans of Hindi dubbed release.

With Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan turned out to be a disappointment, there is a vacuum for a film in theatres. Even exhibitors are looking for a film. Given that films like Karthikeya 2, Kantara were successful in Hindi, the makers of Virupaksha are hoping to recreate similar magic in Hindi. The horror genre has a good fan base in Hindi. All these are favouring the Virupaksha Hindi version. Let’s wait and see what is in store.
