Akhil Accepts The Title ‘Ayyagaru’

Akhil Akkineni is determinedly promoting his upcoming movie Agent. Although it is known that a video of Akhil’s fan praising him on the first day of the Most Eligible Bachelor release created a big stir on social media.

Back in the day, one fan praised him with the phrase “Ayyagare number one” and that sparked a #Ayyagaru viral trend. Memes, reels, and other content were created in celebration of Akhil’s popularity, both in good and bad taste. Even though Akhil expressed interest in meeting the fan who coined the phrase, unfortunately, the meeting didn’t happen. Despite this, #Ayaggaru always remains a trending topic during interviews with Akhil.

Recently while sharing his thoughts about the same, he explained that although Akkineni is his surname, Ayyagaru is the term all of his fans use for him and he accepted it. Despite not being able to choose a particular favourite title, Ayyagaru has grown to become the standard among his supporters.

“I dont know about my favourite title but all my fans seem to like Ayyagaru is better, I can’t say I dont like my surname, Akkineni is part of me, where ever I go Ayyagaru is the standard name for me, no one calls me Akhil, they only call Ayyagaru, so I have to accept it, albeit forcefully”.

The release of Akhil’s Agent this Friday is highly anticipated, and many are speculating on the level of success it could achieve.
