Andhra Pradesh politics are taking an intense form each day. Recently at the NTR Sathajayanthi event, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth showered praises on Chandrababu Naidu and YCP responded in an aggressive way. The debate is still hot and producer Aswini Dutt’s comments turned the center point now.
At a press meeting regarding Mosagallaku Mosagadu’s rerelease, Aswini Dutt was asked about Nandi Awards. He responded in a witty way saying that this is the season of giving awards to ‘Uttama Goonda and Uttama Rowdy. ‘The actual movie awards will be given in two or three years and we all will get awards then’, said Aswini Dutt. Needless to say that these comments are a direct satire on the AP government. Earlier, Posani commented that last government used to give Nandi Awards based on caste.
Hitting back at Aswini Dutt, actor Posani Krishna Murali released a press note and he lashed out at Aswini Dutt and also Rajinikanth in it. Posani said, ‘Not Utthama Goonda or Utthama rowdy, but you should get Utthama Vennupotidarudu (Backstabber) and Utthama loafer, Uttama mosagadu. Your folks should get utthama sannasulu and uttama vedavalu. We don’t have an objection if Rajinikanth comes to Vijayawada from Chennai and praises Chandrababu Naidu. He might be a superstar in Tamil, but he is not a superstar here.’
‘Our superstar is Chiranjeevi only. Chiranjeevi admires and respects YS Jagan a lot and Jagan too respects Chiranjeevi by calling him Anna. He admires Chiru just like he does with his father YSR’, concluded Posani.
It looks like the filmmakers and actors are getting into political wars in AP more than the seasoned politicians are doing these days.
