Weekend Watch: Exciting Lineup Of Theatrical & OTT Releases

Last Friday, we had a big theatrical release, Adipurush. But it ended up disappointing at the box office. This week, we have some exciting releases in theatres and OTT platforms. Here is a look at them.

Theatrical Releases:

Dhoomam:
Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil teamed up with Kannada director Pawan Kumar for an intriguing thriller named Dhoomam. It is set for a worldwide release in four South Indian languages on June 23. Aparna Balamurali plays the female lead in it.

1920: Horrors of Heart:
The fifth instalment of the 1920 series, 1920: Horrors of Heart, is slated for a worldwide release this Friday. Directed by Krishna Bhatt, this movie features Avika Gor and Rahul Dev in the lead roles.

Manu Charithra:
Manu Charithra is the notable Telugu release this week. This Bharat Pedagani directorial features Shiva Kandukuri, Megha Akash and Priya Vadlamani in the lead roles.

OTT Releases:

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan – Zee5:
Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which was released during this year’s Eid, is hitting the OTT arena this Friday. It will premiere on Zee5 on June 23.

Agent – Sony Liv:
Akhil Akkineni’s disastrous flick Agent is premiering on Sony LIV this Friday. This action thriller was directed by Surender Reddy.

The Kerala Story – Disney+ Hotstar:
One of the biggest Bollywood hits of this year, The Kerala Story, will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on June 23.

Initinti Ramayanam – Aha:
This film had a theatrical release on June 9. Within two weeks, it geared up for an OTT release on Aha. Rahul Ramakrishna and Navya Swamy played lead roles in it.

John Wick 4 – Lionsgate Play:
One of the biggest Hollywood hits of this year, John Wick: Chapter 4, starring Keanu Reeves, will premiere on Lionsgate Play on June 23.

Kerala Crime Files – Disney+ Hotstar:
This is a Malayalam investigative series backed by Disney+ Hotstar. It features Lal and Aju Varghese in the lead roles. Kerala Crime Files will premiere on June 23rd and will be available in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.

Tiku Weds Sheru – Amazon Prime Video:
Starring Nawazuddin Siddique and Navneet Kaur in the lead roles, this romantic comedy is produced by Kangana Ranaut. It premieres on Amazon Prime Video on June 23.
