Goshamahal BJP MLA T. Raja Singh’s visit to minister T. Harish Rao’s residence earlier in the day led to speculation that he might be joining the ruling BRS. However, Raja Singh put down the rumours saying he would quit politics if the BJP does not lift suspension on him.
Singh posted a video message after meeting Harish Rao in which he said that he would be with the BJP till he dies. “If the BJP does not lift my suspension, I am ready to quit politics but will not leave the party,” he said.
In August last year, the BJP MLA was suspended following some controversial remarks on Islam. He clarified that he would not leave the BJP and would not join any other political outfit.
Raja Singh said that he met with Harish Rao to discuss development works in Goshamahal constituency and seek funds for development works in his constituency.
