The latest blockbuster, “Baby,” made on a less budget, has created wonders at the box office, giving hope to small and medium-budget filmmakers to develop interesting romantic dramas targeting young audiences. Similarly, a new Kannada film also gives a ray of hope to the filmmakers in Karnataka to make films targeting the youth. It is none other than Hostel Huduguru Bekagiddare.
In reality, the Kannada film industry has been going through a phase without any major hits after movies like “777 Charlie,” “Vikrant Rona,” and “Kantara.”
Films like “Kabja” and “Kranti,” which were released with high expectations, failed to make a significant impact. However, a small film called “Hostel Huduguru Bekagiddare” creates a buzz in the Kannada industry.
“Hostel Huduguru Bekagiddare” centers around the lives of hostel students and the warden, presenting a crime comedy genre that appeals to the youth. The film, which was released recently, has been receiving positive talk and is garnering good collections at the box office.
The film offers some much-needed relief to the industry that had been lacking significant hits for a while. Given its current trending status in Kannada, it wouldn’t be surprising if “Hostel Huduguru Bekagiddare” also gets a Telugu release soon.
