Tollywood Producer Acquires 800’s Pan-India Rights

Legendary Sri Lankan cricketer, Muttiah Muralitharan’s life story is coming onto the big screens as 800. This biopic is being directed by MS Sripathi and it has Slumdog Millionaire fame Madhur Mittal as the principal lead.

Coming to the point, the pan Indian theatrical rights of 800 are now acquired by a Telugu producer. Veteran producer, Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, the producer of Sridevi Movies has bought the rights of the film.

It is understood that the senior producer trusts in the film and he has bought the theatrical rights for a big price. He now sets out to give the film a wide pan Indian release, given the universal appeal it possesses.

800 is the biopic of Muralitharan and it tracks the events in his life starting from his childhood to him raising to fame in cricket and going on to take over 800 international wickets.

The film is set for is theatrical debut in October and the trailer for the same will be out in October. More promotional material will follow shortly.
