While the film’s collection in the Andhra region is lacklustre right from Day 1, even the sensational Nizam region where the film got close to a breakeven tumbled on Monday. Here’s what the trade is saying about the film now.
Though the first-weekend collection of the film stood at more than ₹70+ crores Gross from across the globe, the First Monday saw only a nominal collection from these areas. Firstly, the arrival of seasonal rains had a major impact in cities like Hyderabad where the sudden storm took daily life by surprise. Then comes other factors like the usual slowdown of a movie after the first weekend, and the realistic spreading of word-of-mouth. On the whole Kushi must quickly recover, in order to cross the victory line soon.
By Friday, other happening films like Shahrukh Khan’s Jawan, which is already making sensational advance-booking in Telugu states, and Naveen Polishetty & Anushka’s Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty which getting massive attention due to a promotional campaign, getting ready for the coming Friday, surely “Kushi” has to bounce back strongly. Let’s see if Vijay Devarakonda’s innovative success campaigns for the movie will let it rise big at the Box office again.
