Skanda – Chandramukhi 2 Clash Is Inevitable

The release postponement of Salaar is the reason for all the chaos for the last weekend of September. Prabhas’ Salaar which was supposed to release on September 28th, was postponed indefinitely. Though the official announcement is not up, other movies changed their dates to that weekend.

With dinosaur leaving the ground, Ram’s Skanda, Kiran Abbavaram’s Rules Ranjan, Mad, PedaKapu 1 decided their outing on that day. The main reason for Skanda to shift their release from September 15th is to avoid a clash with Lawrence’s Chandramukhi 2.

In a latest update, Chandramukhi 2 is heard to be giving up the Septmeber 15th date due to delay in visual effects work. And to the shock of Skanda, the Lawrence – Kangana starrer has fixed the September 28th as their release date. It looks like the Skanda’s attempt to avoid Chandramukhi 2 has not worked. Skanda is a mass thriller and Chandramukhi 2 is a horror genre film.

Many film analysts opine that Skanda should have stayed with September 15th release date for huge openings as there is just one film Mark Anthony releasing that day. Now that Skanda won’t be able to change it, Mad, Rules Ranjan or Peda Kapu might want to take advantage of that.

With five movies releasing on that weekend, it has to be seen which of them manage to attract audiences.
