Tabu and Ali Fazal teamed up with an interesting project titled Khufiya. Billed to be a spy thriller, Khufiya will soon land on Netflix. Vishal Bharadwaj is the director. The makers launched the trailer, offering us glimpses into the world Vishal created.
The plot revolves around an R&AW operative named Krishna Mehra, portrayed by Tabu, who is assigned a crucial mission that forces her to struggle as a spy and a lover. On the other hand, there’s Ravi Mohan, played by Ali Fazal, who also works for the agency but becomes the prime suspect. The story then delves into Operation Brutus, which involves surveillance not only of Ravi but also of his family.
“Khufiya” draws inspiration from real-life events and is based on the book “Escape to Nowhere,” written by Amar Bhushan, the former Chief of the Counter Espionage Unit of R&AW.
“Khufiya” will be exclusively available on Netflix starting October 5, 2023.
