Director Says Jawan Should Go To Oscars, Troll Fest Begins

King Khan Shahrukh is on a blockbuster spree. The superstar’s Jawan entered the ₹800 crore club globally. Shahrukh joined hands with Tamil director Atlee for the first time and Jawan’s super success appears to have left both of them extremely happy.

In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, the director Atlee was asked if Jawan should go to the Oscars. The director reportedly said, ‘Of course, even Jawan should go if everything falls in place. I think every effort, every director and technician who is working in cinema, their eyes are on the Golden Globes, Oscars, National Awards, every award. So, definitely, yeah, I would also love to take Jawan to the Oscars. Let’s see. I think Khan sir will watch and read this interview. I will also ask him over a call, ‘Sir, should we take this film to the Oscars?”

While it looked like Atlee was joking, many on social media started trolling him for it. The fans of Shahrukh and those who liked Jawan are supporting his statement at the Oscars and they even compared it to RRR for the Oscars entry. Meanwhile, the South audience who have watched all the films that Jawan has within it, are trolling the director saying Jawan will win for ‘Best Copy Paste’ category.
