A trending hashtag on social media, #KeralaBoycottLEO, and it calls for a boycott of the upcoming Tamil film “Leo,” starring Vijay, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The reason behind this trending hashtag is a recent war of words between fans of Mohanlal and Vijay on social media.
The controversy began when Mohanlal’s fans criticized Vijay’s performance in their previous film together, “Jilla.” Vijay fans took offense to this, and a heated exchange ensued on social media. In response, some of Vijay’s fans began criticizing Mohanlal’s performances in various films.
This exchange escalated, and some anti-Vijay fans of Mohanlal started the hashtag #KeralaBoycottLEO, suggesting that they would not allow Vijay’s film to be screened in Kerala.
“Leo” is a highly anticipated film, and this social media spat has added an unexpected twist to its release. The movie features Vijay, Trisha, Priya Anand, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, and others and is produced by SS Lalith Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the Seven Skins banner.
