Shah Rukh’s Dunki Gets A New Date To Beat Salaar?

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is on a high after scoring two back-to-back movies that grossed more than ₹1000 crores, with Pathaan and Jawan. At the same time, even with flop films, Superstar Prabhas is doing big at the box office as films like Adipurush and Radhe Shyam are proof of that. And now, both are looking forward to the December 22nd clash.

Apparently the international distribution circle of “Dunki” got a message that the film will be hitting cinemas on December 21st. Even if the film will be released on the 22nd, the premiere shows will be screened on the 21st evening itself. But now that they have announced Dec 21 as the new date, many are wondering when would they screen the premieres in the international circuit. Or should we see that as a move to advance the movie by a day to avoid a direct clash with Prabhas’ Salaar?

Right now the Hindi distribution circle is preparing for Salaar and Dunki’s direct clash only and already some national multiplex chains have allotted an equal number of theatres to both films with agreements being made for the first week. Even if the films come within a day gap, surely they are going to create a smash at the box office for the kind of star power the heroes have.
