With just ten days left until the release of Vaishnav Tej’s upcoming movie “Adikesava” on November 10, and with Sitara Entertainments backing the production, there seems to be a noticeable lack of buzz. The film’s promotional materials released so far failed to create a special buzz. There is an opinion in the film industry that the trailer launch is just a week away, and early planning could help in building anticipation among the masses.
Vaisshnav Tej has faced a slump in his recent projects, with “Konda Polam” and “Rang Ranga Vaibhavanga” turning out to be disappointments. This has raised concerns about his market standing, as not all mega fans rush to theaters on the first day for Vaisshnav Tej.
Vaishnav is undoubtedly aware of this fact, and “Adikesava” serves as a crucial opportunity to regain his footing. Failing to do so could pose a risk for his future projects. The inclusion of Srileela as the film’s heroine adds to its glamour quotient.
However, director Srikanth N. Reddy’s choice of a temple backdrop needs to be emphasized more in the promotion. Some viewers remarked that there were shades of “Acharya” in the teaser, and to avoid such comparisons, the film’s posters should be more explicit in their communication, along with an engaging trailer.
Furthermore, “Adikesava” faces stiff competition from dubbed movies like “Tiger 3,” “Japan,” and “Jigar Thanda.” To make a mark in this competitive landscape, the film will need to put up a strong fight without underestimating the competition.
