Sometimes, it is better to not touch certain remakes, if we cannot be faithful to the original characterisation. That’s why many blockbusters from other languages failed big time even if a star hero did it. Except for the likes of Chiranjeevi who better knows how to mould a remake, others scored massive flops due to their over-correction and unwanted carvings to the already proven script.
A discussion is being heard in Film Industry that hero Nithin’s upcoming Andhadhun remake is also getting similar unwanted touches. Director Merlapaka Gandhi is said to be writing loads of unwanted comedy, which is not there in the original, for the Telugu version of the movie. And most importantly, the presence of milky siren Tamanna in the role played by Tabu in the original is actually posing lots of doubts.
After looking at Tamanna’s acting skills in Queen Telugu remake, many wondered if she could really come up with a tremendous natural performance than being dramatic. In Andhadhun, Tabu’s flawless natural act in that dark character with a dose of criminality worked pretty well in theatres. With Tamanna being quite younger than Tabu in the first case, and her unwanted histrionics dominating her performance, many wonder if she will be advantageous for this remake.
