Whenever a new talent pops up on the radar of Telugu cinema, our star heroes and directors are quick to catch it. Despite making her debut with a flop movie like Pelli SandaD, Sreeleela has become a sensation now as Tollywood noticed her impressive talents.
The same is the case with Hrudayam movie fame composer, Hesham Abdul Wahab, who made his Telugu debut with Vijay Devarakonda and Samantha’s Kushi movie.
Though Kushi songs are not epic chartbusters, still the music has terrific appeal and is something different from what our top composers like Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman often deliver for us.
For that reason, he immediately signed Nani’s Hi Nanna and another small film Spark as well. Now, we are hearing that every mid-range to Tier-2 hero is demanding Hesham to be their composer. Also, this demand led to increased remuneration for the talented Malayalam music director, if reports are to be believed.
But then, if a music director signs too many projects, surely his creative juices are getting diluted and we have seen that in the case of some top composers these days.
We have to see if Abdul Hesham Wahab sings as many films as possible and delivers repeated music, or signs a few, and delivers only blockbusters. Watch this space for more updates.
