Despite falling short of expectations, the Darling brand managed to surpass the 300-crore mark, salvaging the film from being a complete disaster. While it missed the chance to become an iconic movie, Adipurush found unexpected success on the small screen.

The urban TRP recorded an impressive 9.47, with a combined urban plus rural rating of 8.41 during its world television premiere at the end of last month.

This performance on television was noteworthy, especially when compared to the box office results. Notably, other Tollywood blockbusters like Waltair Veerayya and Veerasimha Reddy, which had successful theatrical runs, scored lower in TRP with 5.14 and 8.83, respectively.

The strong connection of Telugu audiences to the sentiment of Ram and Prabhas’s image is evident in Adipurush’s TV success.

Despite being available online for months, the high TRP ratings, specific to the Telugu version, showcase the enduring popularity of the film.

Fans find solace in this unexpected triumph, raising hopes that, with the right film, Prabhas could surpass TRP toppers in the future.
