Dhanush To Play Ilaiyaraaja In Biopic

Dhanush is all set to do the biopic of veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja. Ilaiyaraaja, fondly known as “Isaignani” (the musical genius), inspires a generation of music composers. He gave several iconic tunes for the film songs.

Chartbuster songs from films like Siva, Geethanjali, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, Bobbili Raja, and Kondaveeti Donga were his compositions. With Dhanush going to portray the Maestro, there are a lot of expectations in the film. However, an official confirmation from Dhanush is awaited. 

Currently, the film’s pre-production works are underway. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make this biopic on a large canvas with a stellar cast and crew.

According to reports, the film is going to hit the floors next year. Dhanush may start the film’s shoot in October 2024. If all goes well, the makers plan to release the film around Summer 2025. Since biopics are risky, it needs to be seen how Dhanush would play it and what portions of the legendary musician are shown in the film. All these are raising a lot of curiosity in the film. The makers are yet to title the film.
