In general, there is a myth in the film industry that when a popular Tamil composer works for a Telugu film, the movie will end up as a flop. This myth proved true earlier in the cases of composers like Yuvan Shankar Raja, Harris Jayraj, GV Prakash Kumar, and even AR Rahman. Relatively, the success rate is less, despite their popularity and craze. Yet again, it brought bad luck to Harris for his latest film ‘Extra-Ordinary Man.’
The film, starring Nithin and Sreeleela, disappointed the audience with its musical score. The film features four songs, including “Danger Pilla” and “Brush Chesko,” but they are not well-received.
Harris Jayaraj, known for his melodious tunes in Telugu films like “Orange” and “Vasu,” is facing criticism for his lackluster work in “Extra Ordinary Man.” He delivered catchy numbers in “Sainikudu” and “SPYder” as well. But all those films are flops.
Despite his earlier success in Telugu with songs like “Cheliya Cheliya” from “Gharshana” and “Nenu Nuvantu” from “Orange,” his recent works have not received the same level of appreciation. Adding to that is the latest myth again!
We have to see if Harris scores a blockbuster in Telugu and prove the myth wrong.
