First Version Of Tamil ‘Arjun Reddy’ To release

Hero Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv made his debut with the remake of Vijay Deverakonda starrer ‘Arjun Reddy.’ However the Tamil version was shot twice. The first version titled ‘Varma’ was directed by award winning director Bala and the makers even released the teaser.

But after watching some episodes and rushes, Vikram was disappointed and then creative differences occurred between him and the director. Then Vikram roped in the original director Sandeep Vanga’s assistant Gireesaaya. The film had hit the Tamil Nadu box office in November, 2019 and scored a hit.

Now the first shot version i.e, Bala’s directorial of ‘Varma’ is going to be released. On Simply South OTT platform, ‘Varma’ will be streaming from October 6th. The OTT platform is doing full on promotions on social media for this film.

Probably this is for the first time that a film of two versions shot by different directors is getting a release. But it is yet to be known whether Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv have knowledge about this release. What will be Sandeep Vanga’s reaction to this is also to be known!
