Monkey Man Trailer: Hollywood Film Inspired by ‘Hanuman’

Hollywood actor Dev Patel, who shot to fame with Slumdog Millionaire and Legend, is marking his directorial debut soon with the upcoming Monkey Man film. He also plays the lead role in it. Interestingly, the film revolves around the lead, taking inspiration from Lord Hanuman.

Billed to be a bloody and action-packed thriller, the film’s trailer was out, and it looked intense and emotional. The story revolves around a guy who seeks revenge against the guy who killed his mother. The movie takes inspiration from Lord Hanuman, who symbolizes courage and strength.

Apart from helming the film, Dev Patel also wrote the story for Monkey Man. In addition, he co-produced the film with ‘Get Out’ fame Jordan Peele. The film also features Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Sikandar Kher, Sobhita Dhulipala, Makarand Deshpande, and others.

The film will hit the screens on the 5th of April.
