‘So Disrespectful’: SRK’s ‘Idly Vada’ Comments On Ram Charan

The pre-wedding festivities of Anant and Radhika had the biggest celebrities from across the world. The event pictures and videos hijacked the internet for the last two days. One that took away the internet by storm was the three Khans dancing to RRR’s Naatu Naatu, the winning song.

While the three big superstars of Bollywood dancing to the song is amazing to watch, SRK’s inviting Ram Charan onto the stage to shake the leg with them is another highlight. Amid this, the way Shah Rukh Khan invited Ram Charan on the stage is receiving backlash at the moment.

Shah Rukh Khan called for Ram Charan with ‘Bhend idly vada Ram charan kahan hai tu.’ Ram Charan and Upasana’s makeup artist Zeba Hassan condemned the way SRK mentioned Ram Charan. She wrote, ‘I walked out after this. So disrespectful towards a star like Ram Charan’.

Many commented that Shahrukh Khan is being insensitive by referring to Ram Charan as Idly and Vada. It is being ridiculed as Bollywood’s stereotype against South Indians. The internet is ablaze at the incident and many are calling it Bollywood’s insecurity after the South actors started reigning the Indian filmdom with international fame and of course, the Oscar win.
