“There was one particular scene where the heroine Jenny goes to her uncle’s chambers and learns the plans of prison and she shares with Bheem. Initially, we wrote it like Jenny is caught by his uncle and he asks her to surrender and eventually, she dies. Then, we realized that it is too sad and we should not make a sad film and changed it,” said Rajamouli, to which everyone smiled, at the way he had narrated it.

Rajamouli is getting a lot of love from Japan, with many fans attending the special screenings of the film. Even after two years of its release, the film is pulling crowds in the country.

How Rajamouli prepared Keeravani for Oscars!

Sensational music composer MM Keeravani received the Oscar award for the Best Original Song – Naatu Naatu last year. The film RRR caught the attention of the entire world and the song went viral on social media. During his trip at Japan, SS Rajamouli shared some interesting stories revolved around the film. In his interaction, Rajamouli revealed how the team prepared Keeravani to receive the Oscar award.

“You all know that Keeravani is my elder brother. You all saw that he is a little fat. So, the Academy members give us 45 seconds to deliver the speech. So, it is a bit difficult for him to get up from his chair and reach the stage, take the award and deliver the speech. Hence, we started preparing him for the same,” revealed Rajamouli.

The director said that they used to make MMK climb the stairs and ask him to get up from his chair at a certain pace and also maintain a pace in his walking so that he does not get breathlessness.

“On the day of the event, when they announced that we got the Oscar, Keeravani forgot all the training we gave him. He quickly got up from the chair and started walking fast towards the stage. Luckily, he did not get breathlessness but after receiving the award, he spoke well and even sang a song on the top of the world.” revealed Rajamouli.

He also added, “The next day, an actual member of Carpenters sang a tribute song to my brother and that was the time he cried and got emotional.”
