Krish & Anushka’s Film On Weed? That’s A Headache

Other day it has already come out that super talented director Krish is coming up with the movie ‘Ghaati’, which has Anushka Shetty playing the lead role. As per the official logline, the film follows the story of an empowered woman who gets entangled with weed trade due to circumstances. And this logline is now shocking and surprising to Telugu audiences who are well-updated about the recent developments. 

Recently we have seen how Telangana State Narcotics Bureau has given a legal notice to the team of “Ganja Shankar” for using the name of cannabis in the title, and also for laying emphasis on the narcotic substance. At the same time, Hyderabad Police even gave a soft warning to the makers of Baby for glorifying the usage of ‘joint’ inside the movie. Now that Krish-Anushka’s Ghaati would gear up for a theatrical release, surely a discussion, warnings and concern might pop up again regarding the content of the movie once again. 

However, people in the know commented the film is about the protagonist destroying the ganja trade of someone who ruined her life, but not about the consumption of the narcotic substance. Well, we have to see how Ghaati team is going to abide by the legal warnings of government institutions while making a film on weed trade.
