Director Maruthi is someone who has debuted with a small-budgeted film that is actually a micro-budgeted film. On the eve of his “Eerojullo” movie re-releasing in theatres, the director interacted with the media and some interesting comments on film budgets these days.
Back then, Maruthi and his team are said to have made Eerojullo on nearly ₹30+ lakhs budget and then made crores of rupees as profits from the box office. But now, Prabhas’ Rajasaab, for which Maruthi is the director, is said to have recently spent nearly ₹4 crores budget for 4 days of shoot. Maruthi says, “If not for a Prabhas’ film, I would have made 2-3 films in this budget, or a film for sure in a single day’s budget”. On that note, Maruthi revealed how much Rajasaab’s budget will be tentative.
Maruthi stated that they would start the promotions of Rajasaab once the Kalki 2898 AD hungama was over. Until then, there will not be any updates flowing from the Prabhas-Maruthi starrer.
