Kalki 2898 AD Looking At This New Release Date?

Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most awaited films in Telugu cinema, and all eyes are on Nag Ashwin to see what he is up to with this mega project starring Rebel Star Prabhas in a lead role. The release date has been locked for May 9, 2024, but as the AP elections are slated to happen at the same time, news came out that the film will surely be postponed.

But the makers are silent and have not announced a new date yet. On the other hand, we have learned that the makers held discussions with a few distributors and fixed May 30th as the new release date of the superhero film. By that time, the election fever in AP will also subside, and the makers can have a grand summer release.

But the makers are also looking at other dates and also feel May 9th is a safe date as it is a big project and the summer holidays will be in full swing. Naturally, if the talk is good, the audience will throng the theatres irrespective of elections or any other mega event. But a few distributors are not that keen on the May 9th date.

The makers are very keen to release the film only in May and do not want to move it to June or a later date as there are other films waiting to be released in the second half of 2024. this creates unnecessary competition, and there will be Hindi releases as well to tackle.
