Double Ismart Heroine— Why This Kolaveri?

Of course, long back we have already revealed that Mumbai girl Kavya Thapar, known for films like Ek Mini Katha and the recent Ooru Peru Bhairavakona in Telugu is playing the leading lady in Puri Jagan and Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film “Double Ismart” a continuation of the Ismart Shankar characterisation. But then, after getting to see this hot lady in the trailer of the movie, surely many were shocked. Wonder why?

During the beginning of Double Ismart, it was rumoured that Puri Jagan was in Mumbai to rope in a Bollywood starlet as the heroine. There are talks back then that the likes of Sara Ali Khan and other young Bollywood starlets are being considered. But then, there is no talk of heroine later on, and the makers have kept the name of heroine under the wrap.

Though it has come out from Kavya Thapar herself during Bhairavakona promotions, Double Ismart team didn’t make any comment on that. Finally when Kavya is revealed in the teaser the other day, many wondered, why is this Kolaveri for so long about her name as if that was going to surprise the audience big time.

On the other hand, Puri Jagan always picks and introduces new heroines, and the likes of Rakshitha and Anushka are his proud finds. Many wondered what made the star director go for Kavya Thapar when he could really rope in a new starlet or a Bollywood’s big star to that matter.
